Scarlet Whisper
This advertisement is entirely speculative and created with the assistance of AI. The inspiration for the perfume comes from Oscar Wilde’s story, “The Nightingale and the Rose.” The idea emerged during my research on perfumes, where I discovered a new collection by Liberty department store. Liberty is renowned for its contemporary reinterpretation of 19th-century English patterns by William Morris, a key figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement. While their collection was inspired by beloved patterns, I proposed drawing inspiration from classic stories instead. This is how the concept for Scarlet Whisper came to life.
Tools and Software Used:
Concept refining: Chat GPT
Image generation: Midjurney
Image to Video Generation: Luma labs, Runway, Kling
Compositing: Adobe Premier
One of the challenges I encountered while creating the Scarlet Whisper advert was the inability to maintain a consistent perfume bottle design throughout the animation. Due to AI’s tendency to change the image during animation, achieving seamless visual continuity was difficult. In a real-life production scenario, a practical workaround would have been compositing, where the final, consistent bottle design would be digitally integrated into the video during post-production. This would ensure uniformity while allowing for the AI artistic input.
Seline
Seline was yet another exploration into the world of perfume, blending classic storytelling with the timeless theme of passion. Drawing inspiration from myth and romance, the narrative follows a seemingly ethereal nymph—one who, instead of enjoying the thrill of seducing the sailors, chooses the allure of the fragrance itself.
Both adverts were generated as a part of AI advertising courses of Curious Refuge.
